What an incredible conclusion to our 2024 Perth Makers Market (PMM) fundraising efforts! This year, we achieved a record-breaking amount of donations, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. Their efforts in managing the parking ensured the maximum number of people could access and enjoy this fantastic event.
Along with the Rotary Jacaranda Festival, this activity forms the backbone of our Charity Account, enabling us to provide vital financial support to both local and international communities. Our collaboration with local businesswoman Erin Madeley, who runs the highly successful PMM, originated from an initiative by club members Kenn Williams and Chris Whelan back in 2015. Since our first car parking service on February 7, 2016, we have raised over $150,000—of which more than $40,000 has been donated to other community groups that assisted us on market days.
This fundraiser is a cornerstone of our club’s ability to support Rotary’s causes on both a local and global scale.
We’re deeply grateful for the ongoing support of the Attadale and E-WA Rotary Clubs, whose members help bolster our volunteer numbers. We look forward to working together again in 2025!
