At our last meeting DG Colin Burns joined us for his official club visit. He presented to the club a certificate honoring our 50 years of membership on behalf of RI president Holger Knaack. We plan to celebrate this significant anniversary at our changeover in 2021 and are looking for members who would like to assist in the organising of this event.

The Applecross Advocate from day one has been an important communications tool for club members. The following was written in the first AA and is still very relevant today - "Applecross Rotary Club here is your bulletin and your bulletin committee. And we need help from each of you to make it a success. We need reports and notices of meetings from all directors and club officers. And we would especially welcome contributions from any member."

HANDICAMP CALLING #4

An important message from HANDICAMP Chair Wendy Cooper

Handicamp: A week full of fun and challenges, and a lifetime of experiences.

Handicamp is a live-in camp for 18-35 year old people with a disability, who are teamed with a "buddy" for a week of fun and adventure.

The next camp is from the 16th to 23rd January 2021.

Please let Youth Director Logan Duncan-Smith know if you have any nominations for a camper, carer or can assist in any other way.

2020 Reconnect Week

Reconnect Week is 5-11 October

This would be a great opportunity for the club to join in the annual celebration that is Rotary Reconnect Week this October!

An excellent time to reconnect with past Rotary program participants including Rotary Youth Exchange, RYLA, RYPEN, etc.

There is potential for our past participants to reconnect with the club through assisting with our existing and new projects/events or one of the new more flexible membership categories.
