l-r PP Ian Fairnie, Steve Rogers, President Ray Philp You're never too young or too old to start writing - was the theme for a well received presentation at our last meeting from author Steve Rogers. Steve graduated from Muresk Agricultural College in Western Australia before embarking on his diverse career as a jackaroo, farmer, broadcaster, retailer, journalist, teacher/technician (working alongside Ian Fairnie) and TV presenter. Thirty years ago he established a video production company, which has taken him to remote locations throughout Australia, South East Asia and Africa. Recently he turned his hand to writing crime fiction, with stories set in WA, including Death in a Matchbox, An Artefact of Interest, and Truck That.. Steve is very happy to sell his books through the club if anyone wants one - or they are available via Amazon/ Kindle. Steve is also a recognised "bush poet". His take on the 2019 AFL season can be read here. |
