Phillip's book 'The Ten-Year-Old-Man'

Philip Lako was born in South Sudan. At the age of 10, the Sudan People's Liberation Army rebels forcefully removed Philip from his village under the pretext of education had resulted in prolonged suffering and torment by the rebel leaders. The adversities, which included torture, forced labor, sleep, and food deprivation resulted in great destitution until 2000 when he escaped to Kenya to seek refuge, and became a refugee, for 4 years before resettlement to Australia in 2004.
