Recycle NOW with Greenbatch.  Why? Because if you put your recyclable plastic container in the council recycling bin, it is baled up and sold to the global waste market and shipped overseas. Greenbatch Processing will be WA's first waste plastic processing plant, capturing the local plastic waste market.
Rotary Clubs in WA already have a strong relationship with Greenbatch Foundation through a previous fundraising round whereby Clubs contributed $37,000 to the equipment to build the 3D filament line.  With the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) coming into play on the 2nd June 2020 there is an opportunity now to partner with the Greenbatch Foundation that will -
  1. Provide fund raising opportunities for the Rotary Clubs through donated plastics and other recyclable CDS materials.
  2.  By Rotary being seen working on plastic pollution , we can leverage the public image potential of its popularity and potentially attract a new wave of people to join us through Rotary and Rotaract membership.
  3.  Build a stronger relationship with our schools through the Greenbatch schools recycling program.
Suresh Prabhakaran and Ray Philp recently attended the ESRAG WA interest group meeting and Greenbatch Foundation 'Public Drop-off Day' that happens the first Saturday of the month from 11am to 2pm at their premises located at 4 Brooklands Way Mount Claremont.
