Tom Atkinson and Ray Philp recently met with Rachel Thompson who is the Greenbatch Schools Coordinator, to discuss the implementaion of our successful application for a Communities Environment Programme Grant. This Federal grant of $15990 is to provide 2x240L collection bins and a Greenbatch school education presentation for each of the 26 schools in the City of Melville.
This will be an excellent opportunity to form a closer communication between Rotary and the schools to promote our many youth projects.
Also this will be an opportunity to demonstrate Rotary's focus on environmental sustainability that has the potential to attract a new wave of people to join us.
