I don’t get paid to say this BUT I was so chuffed for Ray to take out the special District Bulletin Award! Every week, we are treated to a quality update, and this just doesn’t happen without a tremendous commitment from Ray. Well done ol’ chap!
And what about our own Chris Whelan.. surely the most decorated Club member EVER… DG’s Outstanding District Rotarian Award, District Appreciation Award, Best Club Member Award, and a Paul Harris Award.. with 2x Diamonds..!!! A truly legendary status recognition and so well deserved!

Our New Utility.
The 2014 Nissan Navara Ute is now happily parked up in my Storage Unit, along with our other AxR assets. It is in very good condition, only done about 60,000 k, and is a diesel single cab, 2wd tray top. It includes a lockable tool cabinet which will be very handy when handling cash at our many project events. Along with the trailer, I reckon it will prove of great value to AxR in the years ahead, and should open up the opportunity for more, and new members to play a role in our many money raising projects.
Importantly it takes the pressure off the ongoing use of personal member vehicles when undertaking community fund raising and support activities.
Just so you know… the vehicle is insured for market value under our District Insurance Policy and attracts no separate insurance costs, as for the new trailer and BBQ trailer.
Should any vehicle be involved in an incident that brings about a damage claim, the Standard Rotary Excess of $500 will apply.
If under the control of a non Rotary Member or a non Rotary activity, then the excess doubles to $1,000.
Like with the trailer where we have an Agreement covering non Rotary usage, we will prepare a similar sign off to cover ‘lend out’ demands. ( Either other Rotary Club, Community or private/ limited use)
